Early Edwardian Corset

Inventory #0172

Measurements:

28" bust / 18" waist

A lovely Early Edwardian corset

This corset is unmarked but in beautiful unworn condition.

28" bust / 18" waist

This is a "strait front" style with the tiny grommet holes at the center front hem to allow for the pin-on garters common at the time.

Constructed with a total of 7 pattern pieces per side, three of which are gores (one bust, two hip). Fabric is a single layer of black cotton jean with flat felled seams. Corset has a 1" cotton waist tape held in place with white cotton bone casings applied to the interior. 11 bones per side two of which are 1/2" wide.  All boning is steel.

Center front length of 12" with a 10.5" busk. Center back length of 10.5" with 11 grommets per side evenly spaced at 1" apart. The lace trim sticks up 1/2" past the measurements I provide.
