Inventory #0109

(Sold and no longer in my possession)

Measurements:

30" bust / 19" waist

A lovely mid to late Edwardian corset

JCC brand corset, Style #1904

30" bust / 19" waist

This is a "strait front" style of white cotton coutil with a pretty beading lace trim on the upper edge only..

Constructed with a total of 5 pattern pieces per side (no gores). Fabric is a single layer of white cotton coutil with flat felled seams. The grain of the fabric runs parallel to the waist, around the body. Corset has a 1" cotton waist tape held in place with white cotton bone casings applied to the interior. There are 16 bones per side two of which are 1/2" wide. 12 of the bones per side are applied in groups of three as is common for the period.  All boning is steel.

Center front length of 12.5" with a 10.5" busk. Center back length of 10.5" with 13 grommets per side evenly spaced at 3/4" apart. The lace trim sticks up 1/2" past the measurements I provide.

This corset is new old stock having sat on a shelf of an old general store for nearly 100 years. It has never been worn by anyone other than the dress form you see it on here. (Pink lacing is not original)
