Lara's Antique Corset Collection

Late Victorian/Early Edwardian Corset

Inventory #0108

Jackson Corset Company (JCC) corset style #402

with a 23" waist and a 12" center front length.

New old stock, never worn and with it's original box.

A delicate ribbon insertion lace with a pale blue ribbon trims both the upper and lower edges.

Corset is constructed from two layers of cotton sateen/jean with flat felled seams. Busk is dished (curved inwards at the abdomen). A dished busk fell out of fashion in the late 1890s so this corset may date to about then.

Corset has some light rust staining mostly on the back left section.

Corset lace is not original but is included.
