Lara's Antique Corset Collection

Early Edwardian Corset

Inventory #0101

Kalamazoo Corset style 439

with a 22" waist and a 12" center front length

Corset is constructed from a single layer of grey cotton coutil with flat felled seams. Busk is slightly dished (curved inwards at the abdomen). A delicate matching grey lace trims the edge. Corset bones are set within casings applied to the interior of the corset, over a one inch cotton twill waist tape. Corset is cut from four panels with two hip gores.

Corset has some rust staining  and the garters have lost nearly all stretch. One grommet has popped loose but is still on the lacing.

I believe the corset lace may be original to the corset.
