Thomson's Glove Fitting  corset

by Langdon & Batchellors

Busk clasp is stamped "LB CO"

34" bust / 24" waist

Constructed of 4 pattern pieces per side, one of which is a bust gore. Fabric is a single layer of drab colored coutil cut with the grain of the fabric running horizontally, around the body. Seams are sewn towards the interior and covered with an applied tan cotton twill tape. There is no waist tape, the cut of the corset prevents the need for one.

Corset has tan polished cotton bone casings applied to the exterior. 17 bones per side two of which are 1/2" wide.  Lavender colored flossing on certain bone casings only:

Center front length of 14.5" with a 13.5" dished busk. Center back length of 15" with 15 grommets per side. Grommets are spaced at 1" apart except for the three at the waist which are 1/2" apart. The lace trim sticks up 1/2" past the measurements I provide.
